The Trust recognises the concerns of many in 12 step Fellowships about the crossing of boundaries especially in relation to Fellowship Traditions. The Trust is fully appreciative of the Traditions and the wholly necessary reasons they exist, in this spirit the Trust neither seeks nor claims affiliation or endorsement from any 12 step organisation

 

Twelve step fellowships provide mutual aid through shared experience and the opportunity to be inspired by individuals recovering from a variety of issues, the following links are not the only available fellowships in the North East and over time we hope to add to this list. Adult Children of Alcoholics is a 12 Step Fellowship providing mutual aid to people who grew up in an alcoholic or otherwise dysfunctional homes.

Al Anon & Alateen is a 12 step fellowship providing mutual aid to anyone whose life is, or has been, affected by someone else’s drinking

Sex and Love Anonymous is a 12 step fellowship providing mutual aid to anyone who knows or thinks they have a problem with sex addiction, love addiction, romantic obsession, co-dependent relationships, fantasy addiction and/or sexual, social and emotional anorexia.

Anorexics and Bulimics Anonymous is a 12 step fellowship providing mutual aid “whose primary purpose is to find and maintain recovery in our eating practices, and to help others gain recovery”.
