You’ll work alongside individuals and communities to boost “recovery capital” – things like social support, skills, wellbeing, and meaningful activities – using a personalised, strength-based approach. You’ll:
• Help people build strong foundations for recovery through access to learning, social opportunities, and community activities.
• Organise events and co-ordinate volunteer opportunities.
• Use Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) to empower people to lead their own recovery.
• Encourage involvement in Revival Newcastle and help co-produce exciting community-led projects.
• Support access to education, training, and job opportunities by teaming up with local partners.
• Help people find secure, sustainable housing.
• Inspire individuals to reconnect with their communities and live full, meaningful lives.
• Make sure recovery is inclusive and accessible, especially for those in areas of deprivation or facing social exclusion.
• Promote recovery as a journey driven by community, inclusion, and hope.
• Consistently gather data to demonstrate impact.

There are meeting facilities, a snug and many 12-step fellowships that meet at George Street Social as well as SMART meetings. Come along - you’ll be made very welcome!
